CHUDOKAN

The name of the dojo is based on the chinese filosofical concept of yin en yang. Chudokan means "the house of the midcourse". The course (do) of the middle (chu) is the way of harmony; the harmony between contradictions like hard/soft, fast/slow, internal/external, body/mind en heaven/earth. Concerning the last contradiction: man constitutes the link between heaven and earth and derives energy from both. The striving for the harmony in the course of the middle is not a static thing. The many contradictions are creating, through their mutual dependencies, an enormous energy.
